Disney Destiny to Feature Hero and Villain-Themed Experiences

Feast of the Lion King

The Disney Destiny will feature a range of hero and villain-themed attractions inspired by Disney, Pixar and Marvel, according to a press release.

Launching in late 2025 from Port Everglades, Florida, the Disney Destiny will offer a range of hero-themed experiences, including the “Lion King” dining adventure, an “Incredibles” confectionary and themed staterooms.

“For the Disney Destiny, we will introduce brand-new cruise experiences inspired by the legends and legacies of some of Disney’s most iconic heroes and villains,” said Sharon Siskie, senior vice president and general manager of Disney Cruise Line. “From the dining rooms to the staterooms and everywhere in between, guests aboard our new ship will be surrounded by extraordinary storytelling paired with the signature service and family-fun adventures that are hallmarks of a Disney Cruise vacation.”

Pride Lands: Feast of The Lion King is a savanna-themed venue that features live musicians and storytellers performing favorites like “Circle of Life” and “Hakuna Matata” as well as a themed menu.

A la Mode Sweets

At Edna Á La Mode Sweets, inspired by “The Incredibles,” guests will find a unique confectionary featuring handmade gelato, ice cream, cookies, candies and specialty treats.

Located near the Grand Hall on the Disney Destiny, two walk-up cafes will offer a variety of coffee, tea, specialty beverages and snacks.

Café Megara, inspired by the heroine from Disney’s “Hercules,” will feature a “Greco disco” design with elements like lightning bolts, clouds of Mount Olympus, vases with the Muses, Pegasus and wave patterns on the ceiling.

Café Merida, themed around the heroine from Pixar’s “Brave,” will showcase a Celtic design reflecting her Scottish Highlands heritage. Highlights include a tapestry hung from a bow and glowing lights above the bar, reminiscent of the will-o’-the-wisps.
