China Cruise Shipping

The 17th China Cruise Shipping Conference (CCS17) will be held in Binhai New Area, Tianjin from October 17 to October 19, 2024, and will be hosted by the China Cruise and Yacht Industry Association (CCYIA)

In a statement the CCYIA said the Chinese cruise industry has gradually recovered and continued to improve, thanks new policies and measures to support the cruise business.

Among them, it pointed to visa-free entry for foreign tourists by cruise ships and regulations for international cruise ship supply in China.

According to the Ministry of Transport statistics, a total of 23 cruise ships planned to operate 206 voyages in the first half of 2024, carrying just under 500,000 guests.

Tianjin is a strategic location for the event, as the first cruise home port in northern China and the second China Cruise Tourism Development Experimental Zone in China, Tianjin International Cruise Home Port has received nearly 230,000 cruise passengers and nearly 100 cruise ships since the beginning of this year.
