P&O Cruises’ Pacific Encounter Arrives in Singapore for Drydock

Pacific Encounter

P&O Cruises’ Pacific Encounter has arrived in Singapore for its scheduled drydock on Monday, February 6, after a 14-day Brisbane to Singapore Cruise.

The ship left the Marina Bay Cruise Centre and headed towards the Sembawang Shipyard in northern Singapore where it arrived at around 4:30 PM.

During this three-week drydock, the Pacific Encounter will get a new pair of 142-meter-long Twin Racer waterslides extending from a height of  16 meters and the signature P&O Edge Adventure Park with a 55-meter-long zipline, Rock Climbing wall, Cargo Net, Walk the Plank, and Beam Walk.

Aside from these upgrades, the ship will also get refreshed with minor repairs and hotel enhancements to other public areas.

The Pacific Encounter has already undergone a big transformation in 2022 when a variety of new venues were added to the ship, including the Byron Beach Club, Luke’s Bar & Grill, the F45 Fitness Studio, Black Circus Theatre, and the Altitude nightclub.

After the completion of the drydock, the Pacific Encounter will return to service on February 25, 2023 and depart on a 14-night Indonesian Explorer journey from Singapore to Brisbane, Australia. Once in Brisbane, the ship will continue to offer a series of voyages ranging from three to 14 days visiting New Zealand, Australia, Vanuatu, New Caledonia, New Guinea, Fiji, Tonga and more.

On March 11, the ship will embark on a 14-night Kiwi Adventure cruise with calls in Fjordland, National Park, Dunedin, Christchurch, Wellington, Napier, Tauranga and Auckland.

The ship will sail from Brisbane through January 2025.
