Adora Cruises announced a cooperation with the comedy and drama production company Kaixinmahua Cultural Tourism Development Co. (“Mahua FunAge”), to create the country’s first live comedy theater at sea.
Mahua FunAge will present two comedy-drama shows aboard Adora cruise ships, one at the main stage, a grand theater with 975 seats, and the other in a bar setting which will provide guests with an immersive theater experience.
Adora Cruises will plan “A Voyage in Love,” allowing its Chinese guests to enjoy a unique cruise experience featuring authentic Chinese and international gourmet food, entertainment and shopping at sea.
Adora’s first cruise ship is expected to set sail by the end of 2023 while the second ship is under construction with an anticipated delivery in 2025.
The cruise line plans on producing more unique entertainment shows based on Chinese culture in the future.
Mahua FunAge has been creating comedy theater for over two decades and has produced more than 80 original stage plays. The production company has over 200 contracted artists, including well-known names among directors and actors such as Shen Teng, Ma Li, Allen, Chang Yuan, Song Yang. Among its blockbuster movie projects are Charlotte Troubles, Mr. Donkey, Never Say Die, Hello Mr. Billionaire and Hello, Mrs. Money.
