Carnival Australia announced that Teresa Lloyd, chief strategy and external affairs officer, has been inducted into the Maritime Hall of Fame.

The award, which is a recognition of her contribution to Australia’s maritime industry, was presented to Lloyd at the DCN Australia Shipping & Maritime Industry Awards in Melbourne earlier this month, according to a statement.

“It has been an absolute privilege to lead the maritime industry in this country for the past 20 years in my previous role as CEO of Maritime Industry Australia Ltd. My commitment to the maritime industry is as steadfast as ever, and I look forward to continuing to do all I can to support the industry,” said Lloyd while accepting the award.

Lloyd began her career as a naval architect before she started managing Technical Services for Western Australia’s Port Hedland, Port Authority. In 2008, she led the Maritime Industry Association Limited.

Lloyd joined the Carnival Australia team as chief strategy and external affairs officer in June 2022.
