The United States ambassador to Greece boarded the Celestyal Crystal on Oct. 14, meeting with the ship’s captain at a special reception for all U.S. passengers.
Captain Nikolaos Vasiliou presented Geoffrey R. Pyatt with a silver replica of an ancient Greek ship in appreciation for his visit.
Athens-based Celestyal Cruises will host more than 50,000 North Americans onboard this year.
The line sails the 1980-built Celestyal Crystal and the 1982-built Celestyal Olympia.
