Viking Ocean Cruises’ newest ship, the Viking Sun, called in Rijeka on Sunday, October 1, according to a statement from the port authority. 

The port put together a welcome ceremony for the ship’s maiden call. The port said the captain of the 2017-built ship participated in the traditional first-call ceremonies, which typically involve a plaque presentation.

The 930-passenger Viking Sun was delivered to Viking Ocean Cruises in late September.
