The Port of Elsinore (Helsingor) is hoping for seven calls in 2017, but expects to attract about 11 in 2018, according to Jesper Schrøder, harbor master.
Those seven calls will berth at the port, but Elsinore also offers what Schrøder referred to as Denmark’s safest anchorage, with 20 meters of water depth just over a mile away from the pier.
Last November the port commissioned a new floating facility next to the quay, which is an ideal location for tender boats to dock.
Among the shoreside highlights is the award-winning Maritime Museum of Denmark.
