AIDA Cruises Sponsors Hanse Sail 2017

AIDA Cruises is sponsoring the 27th Hanse Sail event, which takes place in Germany from August 10-13. The event is one of the country’s biggest maritime festivals.

Among the highlights will be the Kruzenshtern, a four-masted ship built in 1926 and flying the Russian flag.

AIDA will contribute two of its 12 large ships to the Hanse Sail event, with the AIDAmar visiting on Saturday and the AIDAdiva calling in Warnemünde a day later. AIDA has 40 calls to the port this year, making it Rostock’s number one cruise customer.

Both ships will sail on Baltic cruises following their turnaround days, with the AIDAmar offering a seven-day voyage and AIDAdiva guests boarding for a 10-day cruise.

On Sept. 1, AIDAdiva closes its Rostock season with a trans-Atlantic crossing to New York with calls in Norway, Iceland, Greenland and Canada. The AIDAmar closes the Rostock season a bit later, on October 7, also sailing a trans-Atlantic cruise to New York.
