Cruise New Zealand announced it will be holding its 2017 conference at the Auckland Museum in Auckland on August 29.
The conference will bring together leaders from large and emerging ports to discuss how they are improving their facilities, according the group.
“Port executives from emerging ports, including Gisborne, New Plymouth, Nelson and Timaru, will provide insights into what makes their destination work and what plans they have to make their port even more cruise friendly,” said Kevin O’Sullivan, Executive Officer of Cruise New Zealand.
“Executives from larger ports will also discuss investments being made for cruise infrastructure and future opportunities that will be explored by these ports,” he said.
Other speakers will include executives from Princess Cruises, Carnival Australia, Seabourn Cruise Line, Royal Caribbean Cruises and Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings. See the program here. The event will be opened by the Minister of Tourism Paula Bennett.
