Abu Dhabi Ports has reported its best-ever cruise season with a 48 percent increase in passengers at Zayed Port and Sir Bani Yas from last year.
The 2016-2017 season saw more than 345,662 passengers, up from 232,605 for the 2015-2016 season.
Most of the passengers were German (48%), followed by the UK (21 percent), Italy (10%), Russia (5%), the Netherlands (4%), the United States and Spain (3%), and Belgium, Switzerland and Austria (2% each).
The 2016-2017 season concluded with the maiden call by of Majestic Princess on her way to China.
