Key leading executives at the three major cruise companies did very well for themselves in a robust 2016, with Richard Fain, chairman and CEO of Royal Caribbean Cruises, taking home just over $10 million, making him the highest paid of the key players at the public cruise companies.
By comparison, Frank del Rio, president and CEO of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings, saw his total compensation at just under $3 million, down from $31.9 million 2015, which was based on a one time payout.
At Carnival, Arnold W. Donald, president and CEO, took home almost $9.9 million, up from 2015.
