Piraeus Port Authority executives welcomed the new Regent Seven Seas Explorer on Wednesday October 12 as the luxury ship made its inaugural call to the Greek port.

Port management was on hand to present an honorary plaque to captain Vasta Rosario Giovanni, in addition to books for the ship’s library.

A prepared statement from the port said it would see 15 to 20 percent growth in cruise traffic in 2016.
