Genting Hong Kong’s Dream Cruises brand continues making announcements ahead of the delivery of the Genting Dream this October. Today, the brand announced the first-ever Johnnie Walker House at sea onboard the ship, built and tailored for passengers around the theme of so-called “whisky conversations.”
Dream Cruises is a new premium cruise brand targeted at the Chinese and Asian market.
“Each Johnnie Walker House is specially designed to educate and inspire guests by providing them with a luxurious environment which encapsulates the history, provenance, and pioneering spirit of the brand,” said a prepared statement.
According to Dream Cruises, when passengers step into the venue onboard they “will be transported into an exclusive environment complete with a tasting bar where they can enjoy the pinnacle of whiskies from the Johnnie Walker Super Deluxe portfolio. Guests can also see a ‘whisky constellation wall’ dedicated to the brand’s heritage of the Art of Blending, providing a comprehensive index for Scotch Whisky Distilleries. There is also a Blending Table for immersive and intimate whisky conversations, surrounded by a stunning malt wall display.”
“We are delighted that Genting Dream will feature the world’s very first Johnnie Walker House at sea. Whisky appreciation in Asia is significant and growing, and guests on Genting Dream will be able to learn more about the art of producing the very finest Scotch whiskies. I’m sure they will also greatly enjoy appreciating some of the world’s most prestigious Scotch whiskies in the company of fellow connoisseurs,” said Thatcher Brown, president of Dream Cruises.
The ship will feature over 35 food and beverage options.
