Deilmann Sisters Receive Prison Sentence

The Deilmann sisters, Gisa and Hedda, have been each sentenced to prison terms of two years and nine months, according to German press reports, citing attempted tax evasion and false statements made during the bankruptcy proceedings of Peter Deilmann cruise line.

The sentence can reportedly be appealed.

The family-owned German cruise line, which the Deilmann sisters took over after their father passed away, declared bankruptcy in 2010.
