Proposal for Visa Free Travel to Finland for Russian Citizens Proposed

The Passenger Port of St. Petersburg Marine Façade announced that the cities of Kotka, Finland and St. Petersburg, Russia have prepared and submitted a proposal to the Finish government to consider the idea of Visa-free stays up to 72 hours for Russian citizens visiting Finland by sea.

The initiative is aimed at ferry service, but could also have a positive effect on the cruise industry. The initial phase is proposed for 2017-2020.
