Pullmantur to Turn Around in Rostock-Warnemunde

The Port of Rostock-Warnemune has announced that Pullmantur will turn around in the German port seven times this summer, disembarking and embarking 2,400 passengers.

From June 18 to Sept. 10 the Monarch, carrying mainly Spanish passengers, will use the airport of Rostock-Laage as a hub for its charter flights every other Saturday. Shuttle buses will transport passengers between the seaport and the airport.

The cruise line, which is owned by Royal Caribbean Cruises and has its headquarters in Madrid, has been a regular customer of the Rostock-Warnemunde cruise port for years. The Empresss has been a regular caller 46 times. This season the Empress will be replaced by the larger Monarch. The usual transit calls will turn into port calls with changes of passengers becoming Pullmantur’s base port for its Baltic cruises.
