AIDA Adjusts Deployment, Drops Eastern Med for 2016

AIDA Cruises has adjusted its 2016 deployment in Europe, opting to pull the AIDAstella from the Eastern Mediterranean, citing recent events in Turkey.

The 2013-built AIDAstella will now be re-deployed to the Western Mediterranean, and will take over the routes of the AIDAaura and sail from Palma de Mallorca in Spain.

The week-long program will see the ship make transit calls at Corisca, Cannes, overnight in Barcelona and also visit Ibiza.

The AIDAaura will re-deploy to Northern Europe sailing from a German homeport, with its itinerary program to be announced shortly.

The AIDAstella was originally scheduled on a week-long cruise program for the summer, turning around in Antalya (Turkey) with calls in Limassol, Haifa, Santorini and Marmaris.
