Mitsubishi: AIDAprima Delivery this December

Following another delay reported in August, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries has said the new AIDAprima will be delivered to AIDA Cruises this coming December.

The ship is currently under construction at the company’s Nagasaki Shipyard & Machinery Works in Nagasaki, and was originally intended to be delivered earlier this year, but two delays on the advanced prototype vessel have pushed the schedule back.

“Now MHI has agreed with AIDA Cruises to set December as the new handover schedule of the first ship,” said a statement from Mitsubishi.

“The new schedule was decided working closely with AIDA Cruises to ensure delivery of a first-class passenger ship of the very highest levels of quality, comfort and entertainment.”
