International Port Corp Announces Ferry Service to Cuba

International Port Corp received U.S. Licenses today from both the U.S. Treasury Department and the U.S. Commerce Department for direct passenger ferry service from Florida to Cuba.

Through IPC’s direct container shipping division, from Miami to Cuba, IPC has security clearance for vessels and terminal privileges.

International Port Corp made history on July 11, 2012 with the first vessel which sailed directly from Miami to Havana in over 50 years.

Arrangements are currently being made with Cuban authorities to establish all protocols in Cuba for direct IPC passenger service, according to a release.
