With its final outfitting nearly complete, Columbus Cruise Center will soon bid farewell to the new Anthem of the Seas, according to a press release.
Meyer Werft transferred the Anthem of the Seas to Bremerhaven for its final outfitting. Approximately 5.500 pallets with diverse equipment were brought onboard to install.
A particular challenge was the poor weather conditions that took place during the outfitting.
Despite the heavy storm that took place for several days, all tasks were able to be initiated and completed on time so that Royal Caribbean took delivery as scheduled on April 10.
During the stay, Columbus Cruise Center served as the base for 1,200 Meyer Werft workers and suppliers, and some 1,400 crew members.
It is the sixth ship that has had its final outfitting at the Columbus Cruise Center.
The Fram officially starts the Columbus Cruise Center season on April 21, with a year expected to see around 75,000 passengers.
