Cunard Line Announces 2016-2017 Deployment

Queen Mary 2 (photo: Sergio Ferreira)Cunard Line has announced its 2016-2017 cruise offering, with nearly 100 ports in 34 countries, and nine maiden stops.

The Queen Mary 2 will call on two new cities in Canada: Gaspé and Saguenay, both firsts for the current Cunard fleet.

The Queen Victoria will sail into Genoa, Italy, and Pointe-a-Pitre, Guadeloupe on maiden calls.

Five new cities will welcome the Queen Elizabeth, including Zadar in Crotia, Skagen in Denmark, Stornoway in the United Kingdom, Villefranche in France, and Tangier in Morocco.

The Queen Mary 2 will continue to set the standard offering the only regular Transatlantic service from the U.S to Europe. The Queen Mary 2 will make 19 Crossings from May to December 2016 and one in January 2017, and sail on a series of cruises to and from New York that offer passengers the opportunity to visit the Caribbean, New England and Canada, the Arctic Circle and Europe.

The Queen Victoria will operate two of its own upcoming Transatlantic Crossings – a Westbound departing on May 22 calling on Southampton, Halifax and New York, and an Eastbound, departing on May 31, calling on New York, Cobh, and Southampton – offering a rare opportunity for loyal and new Cunard passengers. Each Crossing is nine nights with its own unique itinerary.

The Queen Victoria will also sail a series of Mediterranean cruises from July to October, offering seven-, 14- or 21-night cruises covering the Western, Central and Eastern Mediterranean regions. The Queen Victoria will visit 26 different ports, offering guests a choice of embarkation in Rome, Venice, Athens or Barcelona.

A range of roundtrip Southampton cruises will be available from May to December, primarily focused in Europe. The Queen Elizabeth will operate regular roundtrip Southampton voyages while Queen Victoria and Queen Mary 2 will offer select departures during the year. Guests can enjoy 30 roundtrip Southampton cruises ranging from a three-night Western Europe Cruise Break to a 24-night Caribbean cruise.
