Costa Crociere’s new ship, the Costa Diadema, already tagged the “Regina del Mediterraneo” (Queen of the Mediterranean Sea) by the cruise line, is slated to be christened in Genoa on Nov. 7.
The Diadema features interior design by Architect Joseph Farcus, who has a long track-record designing for Carnival Cruise Lines since 1980 and several Costa ships since 2000.
In a prepared statement, Farcus said: “The whole project of the ship is based on ‘pure design’ aimed to affect the emotions of every guest. The design philosophy is sophisticated and contemporary. We have been trying to create special designs, which affect the emotions of the guests indicating to them they are sailing in a very special environment created for their leisure and delivering them to the real destination, their dreams.”
