The Port of Kiel has welcomed the new Mein Schiff 3 from TUI Cruises as she called in the port on her maiden voyage.
At a traditional on-board reception later Dr Dirk Claus, Managing Director of the Port of Kiel nd Robert Vollborn, Kiel’s First Deputy City President, presented the Port of Kiel’s commemorative ‘First Call’ plaque to Richard J. Vogel the CEO of TUI Cruises and to Captain Kjell Holm.
Claus said “We are very proud to be able to welcome this splendid new ship to Kiel. We are also very pleased that she is introducing herself here even before her official naming ceremony.”
All of TUIs ships have called in Kiel in a matter of just four days this week. The Mein Schiff 2 will sail 12 cruises from Ostseekai this summer. And next year, the Mein Schiff 4 will homeport for the summer from Kiel.
