October 11 marked a milestone when the Eurodam docked in Saguenay, Canada. The Canadian port marked its 100th ever call, with the mayor of Saguenay, Jean Tremblay, dockside to meet the ship.
“We are proud to celebrate this event with the Eurodam of Holland American Line, a partner with Saguenay since the beginning of this beautiful adventure,” said Tremblay.
“The same vessel inaugurated the dock in 2008 and the terminal in 2009.
“I would also like to acknowledge the phenomenal efforts by the crew and volunteers to ensure an unforgettable experience for the excursionists with the arrival of every vessel. Next year, 30 scheduled docks are on the program and 48,700 visitors are expected.”
The captain of the Eurodam also took part in a memorial celebration and cut the gigantic cake bearing the 100th Saguenay docking insignia.
The occasion was also to celebrate Holland America Line’s 140 years of excellent service.
