Andrew Mann Named GM of Vancouver’s Canada Place

Port Metro Vancouver has named Andrew Mann to the position of general manager of Canada Place Operations, effective Dec. 1, 2012, according to a statement from port president and CEO Robin Silvester.

Mann will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing operations at Canada Place and for customer relations. He joined Canada Place in 2004 as CFO.

Silvester said that Mann has played a key role in leading the organization to profitability through creating a culture of financial accountability supported by a robust information technology environment aligned to CPC’s complex property management operations.

Mann has also led the revitalization of the parking facility, replacement of parking systems and improved marketing initiatives. And, more recently, negotiated a long-term operating agreement for the theater at Canada Place that, once redeveloped by the operator, is expected to result in an important revenue source.

Currently, Mann has been working collaboratively with Canada Place customers including the BC Pavilion Corporation, the Pan Pacific Hotel, and Port Metro Vancouver Cruise Operations to optimize commercial opportunities and create memorable experiences for visitors to Canada Place and the surrounding area.
