The San Diego Convention & Visitors Bureau recently unveiled a newly redesigned and retooled, San Diego.org; featuring extensive updates to both the appearance and functionality of the website. Currently attracting more than 5.5 million online visitors annually, SanDiego.org is a resource for visitors to San Diego for both leisure and business travel.
The website features 250 pages of content and more than 600 articles highlighting popular events and special offers at area hotels, restaurants, attractions and activities. Visitors can delve into sub-regions like Coronado, La Jolla, North County and East County and search content specifically geared to areas of interest like sports activities, dining, nightlight, arts and culture and more.
Some of the key features on the new SanDiego.org include: Where to stay” and “what to do” resources by sub-region, with a convenient booking tool allowing visitors to book hotels and activities directly through the site; Mapping capabilities to help visitors locate hotels, restaurants, attractions and more in various sub-regions around San Diego; Simple, easy-to-follow navigation that directs visitors by sub-region and areas of interest; Full website search capabilities by keyword; A “ShareThis” feature on every page, allowing visitors to easily share page content through nearly 100 social media channels including Facebook, Twitter, Digg, Reddit, Pinterest and more; A pinned website footer with links to the SanDiego.org blog; a field to sign up for email updates about the region, and direct links to SanDiego.org’s Twitter, Facebook and YouTube pages; and Resources specifically designed for travel trade, media and meeting planners, including hotel and venue search tools for meeting planners that are sortable by guest and room capacity.
