The National Hurricane Center issued a hurricane warning late Sunday night for Louisiana, including New Orleans, following hurricane warnings late Sunday afternoon for Alabama, Mississippi and the Florida Panhandle. Upgraded from a tropical storm, Hurricane Isaac is now expected to hit the coast with category 2 strength. A hurricane watch means that hurricane conditions are expected somewhere within the warning area within 36 hours.
