Frederik Pénot Named VP Corporate Marketing at Costa

Starting from September 3 this year Costa Crociere will develop a new position in its top management structure, appointing Frederik Pénot as Vice President Corporate Marketing, reporting to Norbert Stiekema, Executive Vice President Sales & Marketing.

In this position Frederik Pénot will coordinate all marketing activities concerning the development and positioning of the brand, communication, research and product development.

Frederik Pénot, 44, married and father of 2 young kids, a keen sailor, skier and marathon runner, began his international career after graduating from the prestigious EAP European School of Management.

He started out at a strategic consultancy business, Roland Berger, before moving to Disneyland Paris, where he held a series of senior sales & marketing positions, including responsibility for the German and Austrian markets with operational headquarters in Munich. This period culminated in his appointment as Vice President Sales & Marketing for the French market with the objective of implementing sales & marketing strategy in one of that enterprise’s key geographical areas.

The following functions will be reporting to Frederik Pénot:

•  International Marketing Communication;
•  Direct Digital Sales & Marketing;
•  Corporate Marketing Research & Competitive Intelligence.
