P&O Australia: Pacific Sun Leaving Fleet

P&O Australia has sold its 1986-built, 47,262-ton ship, the Pacific Sun, to an undisclosed buyer.

The Carnival-owned brand in Australia is reducing its fleet by one ship, with the Pacific Sun expected to leave service by July. P&O Australia will thus have three ships, with the Carnival Spirit joining year-round Australia service later this year.

The ship originally sailed for Carnival Cruise Lines as the Jubilee.
