Holland America’s Sail and Save Event

Holland America Line is offering special savings for consumers and special incentives and sales support for travel sellers during its Sail & Save sale that begins today with a variety of enticing specials.

Agents booking a Holland America Line cruise can offer their clients savings of up to 50 percent off select cruise fares, complimentary ocean-view and verandah stateroom upgrades, free or reduced third and fourth fares, reduced airfare for some gateways and sailings, and savings of up to $2,000 on Collectors’ Voyages.

“With Wave Season approaching, we want to make sure that our travel partners have the best tools available to promote Holland America Line to a wide audience,” said Richard Meadows, executive vice president, marketing, sales and guest programs. “The special savings, incentives and marketing assistance will enable them to be successful during this promotional period.”

As an added incentive, every sale enters travel sellers into a sweepstakes for Holland America Line cruises that can be found in the Travel Agent Headquarters portal accessed via www.hollandamerica.com. Every deposited booking made during the official contest period is automatically entered to win with no registration required.

Contest grand prizes include one seven-day Alaska cruise for two sailing roundtrip Seattle, one 10- to 12-day Northern Europe cruise for two and one seven-day Caribbean cruise for two. Prizes will be awarded in a random drawing to be held in March 2012.

The sale is supported with special Sail & Save consumer marketing communications including direct mail and email, as well as an array of online travel seller promotional and sales tools. These include customizable “Build Your Own” emails and flyers, as well as downloadable web banner ads.

Travel sellers looking to take advantage of the continuing popularity of multi-generational travel can book families on a seven-day cruise to Alaska, the Caribbean, Canada/New England and Bermuda under the free or reduced third and fourth fares promotion. These idyllic regions offer exciting experiences for the whole family with a variety of shore excursion adventures and cultural encounters.

Agents who have guests looking for a longer itinerary can reserve a stateroom on one of the popular Collectors’ Voyages while taking advantage of significant savings up to $2,000. Whether it’s ms Rotterdam’s 14-Day “Norwegian Fjords” Collectors’ Voyage or ms Nieuw Amsterdam’s 24-Day “Magic of the Mediterranean” Collectors’ Voyage, the savings make an extended cruise itinerary an affordable vacation option.

With the cost of airfare affecting the decision to take a vacation for many travelers, travel sellers can now offer their clients reduced air rates from select gateways to itineraries in Europe and the Grand Voyages. The reduced air add-on rates are an excellent value starting at $399 per person from North America.
