Plantours to Operate ex-Columbus Starting May 2012

German operator Plantours will take delivery of Hapag-Lloyd Cruises’ Columbus next May, renaming the vessel the MS Hamburg, before a christening ceremony in June (in Hamburg).

The 400-passenger vessel is scheduled to deploy in Northern Europe and the Mediterranean before repositioning to the Canary Islands and then the Caribbean. The Hamburg will replace Plantour’s current ship, the Vistamar.
