Splendor Docks in San Diego

The Carnival Splendor docked in San Diego after spending more than three days without most onboard amenities. The vessel was towed to San Diego after an engine-room fire on Monday morning left the propulsion system and engine room offline.

Crews were able to put out the fire and no injuries were reported. Carnival had supplies such as Spam and Pop Tarts airlifted to the vessel with the help of the Coast Guard and Navy.

Carnival is issuing a full refund to all passengers as well as a future cruise voucher and getting everyone home. The November 14 cruise on the Splendor from Long Beach has been canceled and the ship will remain in San Diego at this point for repairs.
