While the 2010 Florida Caribbean Cruise Association’s annual conference and trade show will take place in the Dominican Republic Oct. 25 – 29, it has already been announced that the 2011 event will take place in Puerto Rico.
According to a press release from the department of economic development and commerce, the cruise industry contributes more than $240 million annually to the island’s economy and generates close to 7,000 jobs. The passenger count this year is expected to be 1.2 million.
