Marseilles Traffic Continues to Increase

The port of Marseilles has reported that passenger traffic for the first five months of 2010 was up 11 percent to almost 543,000. Despite increases of 15 percent for Algeria and 11 percent for Tunisia, ferry traffic slipped 3 percent to 328,000 with Corsica down 10 percent to 202,000. Cruise numbers reflected the growth of ‘home port’ calls with a 43 percent increase year-over-year to 214,000, according to the port.
