Having completed her spring season out of Hamburg, the AIDAblu will return to her new homeport in August, according to the Hamburg Cruise Center.
Hamburg is part of the Atlantic Cruise Alliance, 17 regional ports that are promoting cruises on the Atlantic west coast of Europe from Hamburg in the north to Lisbon in the south.
The spring program of the AIDAblu proves that the concept of the Atlantic Alliance works, said Gerd Drossel, managing director of the Hamburg Cruise Center. The AIDAblu called at Amsterdam, Antwerp, Le Havre and Dover.
According to AIDA Cruises, the nine sailings were fully booked, with demand exceeding supply, said Michael Ungerer, senior vice president of operations.
