Gourmet Cruise Aboard Mein Schiff

TUI Cruises plans to turn its July 31 to Aug. 8, 2010 sailing to Southern Norway into a gourmet cruise, featuring four-star chefs, including Henri Bach from the Hotel Residence in Essen, Franz Feckl from Ehningen Feckl, Björn Friday from the Restaurant Goldener Anker in Dorsten, and Marcus Lindner from the Mesa restaurant in Zurich.

“The selection of these very different star chefs reinforces our focus on diversity and promises enjoyment and unique flavors,” said Richard J. Vogel, CEO of TUI Cruises. “With a mix of creativity, aromatic finesse and a dash of exclusivity, each chef will present a six-course menu including paired wines in the Richard `s Fine Food restaurant aboard Mein Schiff.”

Passengers will also have the opportunity to showcase their culinary skills and compete in a duel with the professional chefs.

The cruise starts in Hamburg and ends in Kiel. Rates start at 995 euros per person, double occupancy, for an inside cabin. Outside cabins start at 1,395 euros per person. Gourmet evenings at Richard `s Fine Food can be reserved in advance for 79 euros per person.
