Var Provence Reports Cruise Traffic Increase

The Var-Provence Cruise Club (VPCC) on the French Riviera has reported 175,250 passengers in 2009 and expects more than 320,000 in 2010, according to Delphine Beudin, cruise operations and promotions manager. The VPCC is a network of 10 ports: Saint-Cyr, Bandol, Six-Fours/Les Embiez, Sanary, Toulon/La Seyne, Hyères/Porquerolles, Le Lavandou, Cavalaire, Saint-Tropez and Saint-Raphaël. Around 70 percent of the passengers in 2009 called at Toulon-La Seyne, the only port in the group where large cruise ships can dock.
