Passenger traffic rose 8 percent at the Port of Marseille in March for a total passenger number for the quarter of 172,000 similar to 2008. Ferry traffic dropped 12 percent, according to the port, while cruise traffic jumped 204 percent to 28,000, including 19,000 passengers from eight calls by the MSC Fantasia in March.
