MSC Bids Farewell to Rhapsody

On Wednesday, April 8, MSC Cruises confirmed the sale of MSC Rhapsody to a new owner.

The 16,852 gross registered ton MSC Rhapsody — 681 feet long, 89 feet wide with 382 staterooms — was built in 1977 and has been part of the MSC Cruises’ fleet. The ship was refurbished in 2004.

MSC Cruises says MSC Rhapsody will leave the fleet immediately.

Pierfrancesco Vago, CEO of MSC Cruises, says, “This event confirms MSC Cruises’ focus on cutting-edge service, offering its guests the comfort, elegance and technology of the most modern fleet in the world.”
