MSC Cruises has sold the 1977-built, 764-passenger Rhapsody to Israel’s Mano Maritime, Cruise Industry News has learned.
The ship will be renamed Golden Iris, and transfer to Mano Cruises – a division of Mano Maritime – in late May, sailing cruises out of Haifa and Ashdod.
The Rhapsody (ex-Cunard Princess) is currently in the Mediterranean, and previously did short cruises out of Durban.
Mano Cruises, which sails exclusively in the Mediterranean, also owns the 720-passenger Royal Iris, and the 500-passenger Iris, offers cruises from two to 19 nights.
