Star Invests in Water Slide

Star Cruises is investing half a million dollars in what it calls the world’s first stainless steel water slide on the SuperStar Virgo. The slide will be installed during drydock this month. According to Star, the slide will be 100 meters long, starting 10.5 meters above the top deck and have an average inclination of 10 percent. It will offer a maximum speed of 7 meters per second. The slide will also include five-meter long glass tube at 25 meters above the sea surface.
