The next new AIDA ship, the Luna is almost completed after only nine months of construction, according to the cruise line. The Luna will be delivered in 11 weeks.
A sister ship the Diva and the Bella, the Luna has been built with 55 blocks, The 1,025 staterooms are already in place as is the 2,300-meter spa area, 11 bars and seven restaurants. At press time, the technical equipment for the entertainment area, the Theatrium, was being installed.
The Luna will leave the indoor building hall at Meyer Werft on Feb. 13, with completion at the outfitting dock. After that follows sea trials.
The 14-day maiden voyage is scheduled for March 22, with calls at Le Havre, Santander, La Coruna, Lisbon, Cadiz, Tangier, Valencia, Barcelona and Palma de Mallorca, where the christening ceremony will take place on April 4.
