NEST Links Agents and Suppliers Via Virtual Trainings

The Network of Entrepreneurs Selling Travel (NEST) is continuing to strengthen the bonds between its preferred suppliers and home-based agents in these trying economic times through a series of fast-break webinars that focus on sales and marketing strategies.

The one-hour webinars are offered over a secure server, and home-based agents participate from their computers. Suppliers present their product features and benefits, and provide sales and marketing tactics that are designed to support the agents in cultivating current clients, finding new customers, and boosting revenues.

Launched five years ago, the sessions have continued to be very well-received by suppliers and NEST agents alike. Several webinars have already taken place this month with: GOGO Worldwide Vacations, Pacific Delight Tours, Trafalgar Tours, Viking River Cruises and Travel Impressions.

Additional virtual trainings are scheduled throughout the first quarter as follows: Royal Caribbean International (Feb. 4), Celebrity Cruises (Feb. 5), Princess Cruises (Feb. 6), Star Clippers (Feb. 11), Thrifty/Dollar Automotive Group (Feb. 18), Silversea Cruises (Feb. 20), Avanti Destinations (Feb. 24), Carnival Cruise Lines (Feb. 26), Passport Online (Feb. 27), Norwegian Cruise Lines (Mar. 4), Collette Vacations (Mar. 5), GOGO Worldwide Vacations (Mar. 6), Globus Family of Brands (Mar. 11), STAR Service Online (Mar. 13), Trafalgar Tours (Mar. 17), Key Tours (Mar. 18), Celebrity Cruises (Mar. 20), Hurtigruten (Mar. 25), and Carnival Cruise Lines (Mar. 27).

“We strongly encourage our NEST suppliers and home-based agents to participate in as many virtual trainings as possible,” said Kathryn Mazza-Burney, President of NEST. In a soft economy like the one we’re in now, it’s more important than ever for agents to stay motivated. One way to do that is to brainstorm with their peers and other industry partners to come up with new ways to reach current customers or identify entirely new markets to go after. We applaud our preferred supplier partners for seizing the opportunity to interact with the dynamic and still-growing home-based channel that NEST represents.
