Vessel Improvements to Cruise West’s Pacific Explorer

Guests sailing on leading small-ship cruise line Cruise West’s (www.cruisewest.com) Between Two Seas itinerary in Panama & Costa Rica are now doing so in the comfort of the newly refurbished Pacific Explorer. The 100-passenger vessel, owned by Pacific Cruising Company Limited, recently underwent a $600,000 refurbishment that included aesthetic improvements such as exterior painting and new carpeting throughout as well as amenity updates to the bathrooms and dining room including new menus for the dining room and sundeck dining area.

“Our priority is offering Cruise West guests the perfect marriage of experiential cruising paired with the creature comforts of home reflected in our brand standards for amenities on all of our cruises,” remarked President and Chief Executive Officer Dietmar R. Wertanzl. “We’re committed to ensuring all of our cruises are housed on vessels with current and inviting facilities as we know that intimate and comfortable ships are an integral part to the Cruise West ‘Up-close, Casual and Personal’ experience.”

Additional upgrades include silverware in the dining room, general improvements to the vessel’s air conditioning system and new staff cabins.
