Caribbean Community Seek Cruise Lines’ Help in Marketing Campaign

Tourism officials with the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) have agreed on a $60 million marketing campaign and want cruise lines, and other tourism groups to contribute.

CARICOM officials plan to start collecting campaign funds in the first quarter of 2009, after a detailed marketing plan and budget presentation are developed, according to a release from the Georgetown, Guyana-based organization.

CARICOM also wants non-CARICOM Caribbean Tourism Organization members to contribute to the fund.
