Authorities in Kenya have seized a ship owned by Kent, UK-based African Safari Club because owners had neglected to pay crew for several months, according to a report in Business Daily Africa.

The ship was reportedly being held at Kilindini Harbor, Mombasa by order of High Court Judge Joseph Sergon, and would be sold to the highest bidder provided the winning bidder could make a 25 percent down payment by Sept. 25 and pay the remaining balance within 10 days, according to the article.

The line owns the 5,600-ton Royal Star, the 2,466-ton Da Vinci, the 2,258-ton Star of Luxor, and the 1,170-ton Fleurette.

The article did not mention which of African Safari Club’s four ships was being held, but the Royal Star is usually scheduled to cruise Kenya and the Indian Ocean, with the other three ships on the Nile.
