MHG Appoints Laura Lieberman to Director of Sales and Business Developoment

MHG Marine Benefits, the marine industry’s international benefits specialist, announced today the appointment of Laura Lieberman to the position of Director of Sales and Business Development.  In this newly created position, Ms. Lieberman’s primary role will focus on MHG’s relationships with senior industry executives and communicating MHG’s complete range of benefits and services for Cruise and Superyacht employers.

“At a time when all marine employers need to focus attention on manning, safety and security issues, MHG’s services are particularly relevant” said Andrew Dudzinski, MHG’s Chief Executive Officer.  “Ms. Lieberman’s mission is to ensure that our Cruise and Superyacht clients are fully aware of what MHG can do for them in respect of human element issues and especially as it concerns attraction and retention of experienced Officers and Crew.”

Ms. Lieberman has more than 18 years of experience in sales and business development, including shipboard and shoreside appointments.  Most recently she has served as the Director of Broker Relations for BVG Incorporated, a luxury real estate developer and destination club operator in Tampa, Florida.  Previously, Ms. Lieberman held a variety of key management positions at Wannado City, Anheuser-Busch and International Voyager Media.

“As someone who has worked shipboard for so many years I appreciate the value of increasing the marine industry’s awareness of present and future human element challenges and their solutions.  I particularly look forward to creating new business partnerships for MHG” said Laura Lieberman.

“In addition to the present manning issues, MHG will be focusing increased attention on the Consolidated Maritime Labor Convention and its impact upon marine industry employers.”   Andrew Dudzinski confirmed that it will be a key part of Laura’s mission to discuss these issues and the solutions developed by MHG as the date draws nearer to the MLC ratification and implementation dates.

Laura Lieberman commenced her new appointment on Monday May 19th, 2008.
