Holland America Line Publishes Guide to Towel Origami

Holland America Line cabin and stateroom stewards long have delighted guests with a menagerie of critters crafted from Egyptian cotton towels as the final touch to the nightly turndown.

Folding to such popular demand, Holland America Line has published “Towel Creations – Holland America Line 40 Designs,” a four-color, step-by-step guide on how to shape a seahorse or fashion a frog via the skills of the ships’ deft towel origami artists.

Retailing at $14.99, “Towel Creations” is another example of how the little extras underscore the guest experience on board a Holland America Line ship.

“Our guests consistently comment on how much they enjoy finding a different towel animal greet them nightly,” said Richard D. Meadows, CTC, executive vice president, marketing, sales and guest relations.  “So it was an easy and fun decision to produce a book that shows how to recreate the same lovable towel animals they find onboard.”

Guests can purchase the 88-page book onboard all ships in the Holland America Line fleet through the front desk.
