ALMACO Delivers for Pearl Seas Cruises

ALMACO Group has been contracted to provide a complete turnkey delivery of the food handling areas to Pearl Seas Cruises’ newbuilding. The project is taking place at Halifax Shipyard Limited (HSY). Pearl Seas vessel NB 92 is the first cruise ship to be built at Halifax Shipyard. ALMACO’s extensive passenger ship experience in food handling areas compliments HSL’s extensive shipbuilding capability.

ALMACO will deliver the galley, cold stores and refrigeration system as a complete turnkey delivery. Under the turnkey concept, ALMACO has complete responsibility and control of the entire package.  ALMACO’s scope includes technical and interior design for the galley, the cold stores and the refrigeration machinery, full turnkey material and installation, as well as responsibility for all project management aspects. The project will be completed summer 2008.

Halifax Shipyard’s shipbuilding capabilities and ALMACO’s extensive knowledge of building passenger and food handling areas will make a good fit.  Irving Shipbuilding, the owner of Halifax Shipyard, has been building and repairing vessels and offshore structures for almost 50 years and it has several locations in Atlantic Canada.
